Individual Intervention

One to one remedial intervention for reading and writing for students with dyslexia or other reading delays. Instruction takes place at my home office in Montreal Ouest at least 2x per week. Structured literacy intervention is not the same as tutoring. The goal is to raise a student's skills in reading and writing to grade level as efficiently as possible. To that end each student is evaluated during the first, Diagnostic, lesson using various measures to obtain a baseline of the student's literacy skills. From there lessons are designed to remediate the literacy gaps in sounds, letters, spelling conventions, syllable types, non-phonetic words, morphology and more. This is also broadly known as Tier 3 intervention.
